| Enjoy a day of diversity and fun! You will be escorted in two separate groups of seven via ‘Antique Limousine’ with your guide Mark Solomini. Mark drives a 1939 Cadillac seven passenger Imperial and speaks the part of a true 1930’s Bostonian. He will enchant you with stories as only a true Bostonian can, but watch out, if you give him any trouble, you may end up in the trunk! (Not really).
You will enjoy Faneuil Hall Marketplace which is actually four great places in one location – Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market, Little Italy and Aquarium Water Front, all set around a cobblestone promenade where jugglers, magicians and musicians entertain the passers-by.
In 1742, Boston’s wealthiest merchant, Peter Faneuil, as a gift to the city, built Faneuil Hall. The edifice was home to the merchants, fishermen, meat, and produce sellers. Faneuil Hall provided a platform for the country’s most famous orators. It is where colonists first protested the Sugar Act in 1764 and established the doctrine of “no taxation without representation.” It has often been called “the Cradle of Liberty.”
You will be given information that lists points of interest, from your guide and dropped off for three hours. So by all means, stroll, shop, eat, laugh, wonder, wander and explore it all.
The Freedom Trail Tour will be given by your guide Mark Solomini. You will ride in luxury as you see places of history, the oldest standing ‘Old North Church’ where two lanterns were hung on April 18, 1775. You will see Bunker Hill, the site of the historic battle, ’Copp’s Hill Burial ground, where many remarkable people were interred. Stop and tour the U.S.S.Constitution, walk the streets of Beacon Hill, the most prestigious neighborhood of Boston. The possibilities are numerous.
Later you will embark on a one hour Fenway Park Tour, where a guide with the Park, will give a behind-the-scenes look at America’s most-beloved ballpark. This is the park where the Babe pitched, the Kid hit, Yaz dazzled. Tours of the oldest Park in Major League Baseball include the press box; Red Sox Hall of Fame Plaques; the State Street Pavilion luxury seating area; the Budweiser Right Field Roof Deck. Picture the ‘Babe’ hitting a home run over the Green Monster seats and the Pesky’s Pole; and the oldest seats in Major League History. |
